Indian smartphone brand Lava is gearing up to introduce the Storm Play 5G and Storm Lite 5G in the country. These devices will succeed the standard Lava Storm 5G smartphone, which was unveiled in December 2023 with a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chip, a 50MP primary camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. Ahead of the official announcement, the company has shared some key specifications and availability details.
Lava Storm Play 5G, Storm Lite 5G: Expected specificationsThe Lava Storm Play 5G is confirmed to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 processor. It is designed for young gaming enthusiasts, and according to the brand, will feature segment-first LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Lava has also confirmed that both smartphones are “built to offer uncompromised performance, bold design, and advanced 5G capabilities.''
Previous reports have claimed that the Storm Lite 5G is expected to come with a 6.78-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Further, it is expected to come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Both devices will be available for purchase via Amazon and the Lava E-store. However, the exact launch date is still under wraps.
To recall, the Lava Storm 5G was introduced in December 2023. It features a 6.78-inch FHD+ LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset and boasts a dual rear camera setup, which includes a 50MP main shooter and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. Moreover, the Storm 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
