Lava International Limited has launched its new Storm Series smartphones — Storm Play and Storm Lite — designed for the digital-first generation in India. The two smartphones aim to bring powerful performance and 5G readiness in under Rs 10,000 segment. The Storm Series comprises the world’s first phone with a MediaTek Dimensity 7060 processor and the first phone under Rs 8,000 with a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor.

The Storm Play comes with a 6.75-inch HD+ notch display and a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7060 processor and is the first phone in its price range to feature LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It has 6GB + 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The phone is backed by a 5000mAh battery and supports 18W Type-C fast charging. The camera setup comprises a 50MP + 2MP rear sensor (Sony IMX752) and an 8MP selfie camera. It also comes with IP64 water and dust resistance.
The Storm Lite, designed for the budget-conscious, is the first phone under ₹8,000 to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor. It has a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 50MP rear camera. The phone is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 15W Type-C charging and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It comes with 4GB + 4GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB storage.
Price and Availability
The Storm Play is available at a special launch price of Rs 9,999 and will go on sale from 19th June at 12 pm exclusively on Amazon. The Storm Lite starts from Rs 7,999 and will be available from 24th June at 12 pm on Amazon.
