Social media platform X (formerly Twitter) is buzzing with posts from users claiming that they’ve unlocked a JioHotstar Premium subscription for Re 1. Screenshots of successful payments and active premium accounts have gone viral, prompting widespread curiosity. Neither Jio nor Disney+ Hotstar has issued an official statement yet, but reports suggest the offer is part of a limited rollout or internal testing phase.

According to users who accessed the plan, the offer unlocks all standard Premium benefits, including:

Ad-free streaming across movies, sports, and shows.

4K playback with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support.

Multi-device access for up to four simultaneous streams.

Cross-platform compatibility with mobile, TV, tablet, and laptop.

Essentially, users get the full premium experience — including top-tier streaming quality and device flexibility — at the lowest possible cost.

Interestingly, several users noted that the offer is not exclusive to Jio SIM users. While some assumed it required a Jio number, others confirmed that non-Jio users also received access. In some cases, users reported receiving a one-year premium plan for just Re 1, though this remains unverified. The offer seems to be selectively available, likely as part of a trial promotion targeting random accounts.

As per the screenshot shared on X, users can choose to get 3 months subscription for Rs 1 or annual subscription at Rs 1. But, this is valid only for 30 days which means, depending on the subscription you are choosing, you'll have to pay the full amount after the trial is over.

To see if the offer is available to you:

Open or download the JioHotstar app.

Log in using a number without an active subscription.

Tap the ‘My Space’ icon.

Select ‘Subscribe’ to view available plans.

If visible, choose the Re 1 Premium plan and complete the payment.

Payment can be made via UPI, card, or wallet, and activation is instant if eligible.

At present, the Re 1 JioHotstar Premium offer remains unconfirmed officially. However, given Jio’s history of surprise promotions, this could be a short-term pilot or limited test. If the offer appears in your app, it’s worth claiming — after all, ad-free 4K streaming for Re 1 doesn’t come around often.
