iQOO Z10R launch on July 24: How the new phone will be different from iQOO Z10 5G
The iQOO Z10R is set to launch in India on July 24, targeting the budget segment under Rs. 20,000. Positioned just below the iQOO Z10, it brings a few changes in design, internals, and battery. While both phones aim to deliver strong performance in their price brackets, the Z10R introduces a different chipset and a new design approach. Here’s a breakdown of how the two compare.
The iQOO Z10R is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400, a newer generation chip following the Dimensity 7300. In contrast, the iQOO Z10 uses the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 platform. Both are mid-range 5G chipsets, but the Dimensity 7400 brings generational improvements, including better power efficiency. RAM is identical on paper. Both devices offer up to 12 GB RAM. The Z10R adds virtual RAM expansion of up to 12 GB, allowing users to keep up to 44 apps running in the background, according to iQOO.

Battery The iQOO Z10 holds a clear edge in battery size, packing a 7300 mAh unit with 90W fast charging. The Z10R opts for a more modest 5700 mAh battery. While smaller, it still offers decent capacity for all-day use, especially when paired with a power-efficient chipset.

Display and Design The iQOO Z10R will feature a 120 Hz AMOLED display with curved edges on both front and back. It measures just 0.7 cm in thickness and will be available in two colour options: Aquamarine and Moonstone. The iQOO Z10 also offers a 120 Hz AMOLED panel, but it is flat and larger at 6.77 inches. In terms of durability, the Z10R claims a more advanced IP68 and IP69 rating, indicating strong resistance against dust and water. The Z10, meanwhile, is MIL-STD-810H certified with splash resistance, which is slightly less comprehensive.

Camera Both phones feature a 50 MP primary camera with support for 4K video recording. The Z10 uses a standard wide sensor alongside a 2 MP depth sensor, while the Z10R will sport a Sony IMX882 sensor for its main camera. For selfies, both phones include a 32 MP front-facing camera capable of shooting 4K videos.
Should You Wait for the iQOO Z10R? The iQOO Z10R is shaping up to be a sleeker, slightly more rugged phone with a curved design and a newer chipset. While it sacrifices some battery capacity compared to the Z10, it gains in aesthetics, durability, and camera sensor quality. For users focused on design and comfort, the Z10R could be the better buy. But if battery life is your priority, the Z10 still holds its ground.
