iQOO 15: India launch timeline, expected specifications
Earlier this week, iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya confirmed through his X account that the iQOO 15 will launch in India in November. This comes after the company revealed that the smartphone will launch in China on October 20. Moreover, the promotional image shared by the brand confirms that the Indian variant of the iQOO 15 will be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and will run OriginOS 6 out of the box.
The company has already confirmed that the iQOO 15 will also have a Q3 gaming chip, which is claimed to provide 144fps gameplay for certain titles. The phone will also have an 8K vapour chamber (VC) Dome cooling system for thermal management. Moreover, the handset will have a 6.85-inch 2K 8T LTPO display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 6,000 nits of peak local brightness.
On the optics front, the iQOO 15 is tipped to house a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary shooter, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. For selfies, it could come with a 50MP camera at the front. The Chinese variant of the iQOO 15 has been confirmed to house a 7,000mAh battery, with the Indian variant likely to come with the same capacity.
