Infinix has announced that its Android 15-based XOS 15 update will be rolled out for the Infinix Note 40 series soon. This new custom operating system was unveiled last month alongside the launch of the Infinix Note 50X 5G, which debuted in March. The update promises to bring a whole bunch of new features, design tweaks, and powerful AI tools, promising to make the eligible smartphones feel smarter and smoother than ever.

Infinix through its X (formerly Twitter) account, announced that its Note 40 series will start receiving the XOS 15 update in the second quarter of 2025. The update will roll out in batches, so depending on a user’s region and device model, it might take a few weeks to show up. Moreover, some regions are said not to support this update.
Infinix’s XOS 15 update: Features
The Android 15-based XOS 15 update promises customizable animations and font styles to deliver a redesigned user interface. It also features a Vogue Portraits page for personalizing wallpapers and a dedicated Game Mode, which aims to maximize gaming settings and performance of the company’s smartphones.
Further, the XOS 15 update includes a Dynamic Bar feature with support for Google Maps, Smart Panel, and PC Connection. It also comes with the One-Tap Infinix AI functionality and offers several AI-based features like On-Screen Awareness, AI Wallpaper Generator, AI Note, Circle to Search, Writing Assistant, and more. The company also promises a more upgraded and fluid operating system with this update.
