OpenAI has announced its most capable and advanced large language model – GPT-5. Now, the new LLM comes with several new capabilities like faster responses, better reasoning and most importantly, better responses that are actually more functional and practical for users.

GPT-5 is rollout gradually to users of all tiers including free, Plus and other paid users. However, depending on the region you are in, the availability might take a while.

Open ChatGPT app or your phone, PC or Mac or access it via the web

Login using your credentials

Now, look for the “ChatGPT” option at the top left

Select “GPT-5” option.

It is also important to note that if you’ve received the GPT-5 update on your account, the only option you’ll see is GPT-5. All other options have been removed now and you can’t go back to the GPT-4 or other LLMs from OpenAI.

But, there’s nothing to be worried about as the GPT-5 incorporates the capabilities of all the previous generation models. There are several other things to keep in mind.
