HCLTech adds 2,134 employees in Q3FY25, reversing previous quarter's decline

HCLTech adds 2,134 employees in Q3FY25, reversing previous quarter's decline

India's third-largest IT services major HCLTech’s headcount increased by 2,134 employees in the third quarter ended December 31, 2024.

With this increase, the total headcount in Q3 stood at 2,20,755.

This comes after the largest IT services company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) reported a net decline of 5,370 employees in Q3.

In Q2, the Noida-based company’s headcount decreased by 780 employees.

HCLTech’s attrition rate marginally increased to 13.2 percent from 12.9 percent in the previous quarter. In Q2FY24, HCLTech’s attrition rate stood at 14.2 percent.

The company reported 5.5 percent on-year rise in net profit at Rs 4,591 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2024, in line with the Street expectations.

The IT firm declared interim dividend of Rs 18 per equity share of Rs 2 face value, which includes special dividend of Rs 6 per share to celebrate 25 years of HCLTech’s public listing.
