Asking the same question over and over can be frustrating but Google now has a solution for that.Starting today, Google’s Gemini AI can remember your past chats to give smarter, more helpful responses. If you’ve talked about something before, you don’t have to repeat yourself. Whether you want a summary of an old conversation or just need to pick up where you left off, Gemini can now recall relevant details and craft better responses.

This means no more scrolling through old chats or starting from scratch every time. You can build on previous conversations and continue working on projects without losing progress.

But don’t worry—Google is giving you full control. You can review, delete, or manage how long your chat history is stored. If you don’t want Gemini to remember anything at all, you can turn off the feature in “My Activity.” When Gemini uses past conversations, it may indicate this in its responses.

For now, this memory feature is rolling out in English for Gemini Advanced users who subscribe to the Google One AI Premium Plan. You can access it through the Gemini web and mobile app. In the coming weeks, Google will expand it to more languages and also bring it to Google Workspace Business and Enterprise customers.
