Google takes AI Mode globalAfter debuting in India in July, Google has expanded AI Mode in Search to 180 countries. This feature makes Search smarter than ever, turning it from a simple web tool into an assistant that can understand context, preferences, and tasks in a more human-like way.
Book your table with AIAI Mode’s biggest upgrade is its ability to help you find restaurants and make reservations. Just tell it your preferred date, time, cuisine, or location, and it will scan multiple platforms to find real-time availability, saving you the hassle of checking each site manually.
From dining to daily tasksRestaurant bookings are just the beginning. Google says AI Mode will soon be able to handle more real-world jobs like booking event tickets, scheduling appointments, and even managing local errands. The ultimate goal is to make Google Search an active doer, not just a provider of links.
Personalized food and café picksThe agentic feature can also tailor dining suggestions to your taste. It looks at your Maps history, past searches, and even earlier chats in AI Mode to recommend new restaurants or cafes. Currently limited to dining, this personalization is expected to expand to more lifestyle areas soon.
Share plans with a tapPlanning with friends and family gets easier thanks to a new “share” button in AI Mode. You can share AI’s recommendations instantly, and everyone can follow up with related questions. This feature makes group decisions—like where to eat or what event to attend—much smoother and more collaborative.
