Google Pixel 9a is rumoured to be launched on March 19 globally. Ahead of the rumoured launch, the renders of the phone as well as the marketing materials have leaked online.
The Google Pixel 9a is shaping up to be an exciting launch, and thanks to a fresh leak from evleaks on X, we now have a pretty good idea of what to expect. The leaked marketing materials showcase the phone in four colours—Obsidian, Porcelain, Peony, and Iris. Google always keeps its design clean, but this time, there’s a noticeable change: the camera module doesn’t stick out anymore, giving the phone a more streamlined look.
One of the biggest highlights is that the phone will with protection against water, and while the exact rating isn’t confirmed, an IP68 certification seems likely. Feature-wise, the Pixel 9a will come with Google Gemini, advanced theft protection, and more.
Now, onto the expected specs. The Pixel 9a could sport a 6.3-inch OLED display with a peak brightness of 2,700 nits. Under the hood, it’s likely powered by the Tensor G4 chipset, the same one expected in the flagship Pixel 9 series. The camera setup includes a 48MP GN8 primary sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide lens at the back, plus a 13MP front camera.
Battery life might be slightly bigger than before, with a rumoured 5,100mAh battery, 23W wired charging, and even 7.5W wireless charging. That’s the biggest battery in any Pixel yet!
What’s also interesting is the launch timing. Instead of the usual May debut at Google I/O, the Pixel 9a is expected to arrive much earlier, with an India launch happening just a day after the global announcement.
