Google brings authorised refurbished Pixel phones to India with Cashify

Google has launched an Authorised Refurbished Phone Sale programme in partnership with Cashify, making past-generation Pixel devices officially available at lower prices. The initiative, which goes live today, lets buyers pick up refurbished Pixel 7 and Pixel 8 Pro units at a fraction of their original retail cost. This is the first time Google has formally authorised a resale channel for its smartphones in India, responding to a growing appetite for affordable access to the Pixel ecosystem.

Cashify, which already has a strong presence in smartphone trade-ins and repairs, is Google’s chosen partner for the rollout. Each device will go through rigorous quality checks, be fitted with only genuine Pixel parts, and arrive in fresh packaging with a compatible charger. Customers will also receive a one-year limited warranty from Cashify.

Distribution won’t be a problem either: Cashify’s omnichannel network spans its app, website, and selected physical outlets, reaching 18,000 pin codes across India. That gives buyers nationwide coverage for refurbished Pixel sales — a first for Google in the country.

Beyond affordability, Google is pitching the programme as part of its sustainability push. The company has been steadily working towards eco-friendly packaging and materials, and refurbished devices naturally extend product lifecycles while cutting down on e-waste.

For consumers, this means access to a flagship-class experience without paying full flagship prices, plus the reassurance of official parts and warranty. In a market where refurbished phones often come with trust issues, Google’s official stamp may be enough to make Pixels a more mainstream choice.
