WhatsApp keeps introducing many new features. Some are aimed at improving the messaging app’s security and privacy, while others aim to offer users more convenience and a better user experience. One such feature was rolled out recently when the Instant messaging platform added Filters and Background support for Video calls.
But that’s just one part of the features that WhatsApp highlights. Alongside it, the Meta-owned messaging platform also added something many people would love—beauty mode.
You heard it right. The platform has a dedicated Beauty mode for Video calls. In this guide, we will tell you all you need to know about it, including steps to enable it and more.
What is WhatsApp’s Beauty mode for video calls?
Well, WhatsApp has added a new feature that enhances the face features by adding additional smoothness to it – more like a Beauty mode – that we see on our smartphone’s camera.
What this does is it makes the face appear more sophisticated when taking video calls and makes you look – handsome/beautiful – by reducing the dark circles, removing blemishes, etc.
Steps to enable WhatsApp Beauty mode
The feature is available on both Android and iOS versions of the app. To get it, update it to the latest version from the Play Store or Apple App Store and then follow the steps below:
- Open WhatsApp and make a video calls (group or individual)
- Now, look for a Face mask-like icon on your video feed alongside the new ‘low light mode’
- Tap on it to enable
Once enabled, you’ll notice that your face starts appearing more clear with skin smoothening. To make it better, you can pair it with the Blur background feature.
