Elon Musk wants you to pay ‘X-tra’ as premium plans become more expensive in India and other countries

Are you an X subscriber? Prepare to pay more for premium features. The Elon Musk-led microblogging platform has increased the prices of its premium plans by nearly 35%, and this hike isn’t limited to the United States—India is also affected. Indian users will now need to shell out more to access the platform's exclusive features. Notably, the prices have been increased for only the Premium+ plan. For all other plans, the price remains the same.

How much does the Premium+ plan cost in India now?

The X website now displays the updated prices for the Premium+ plan. Previously priced at Rs 1,300, the monthly plan now costs Rs 1,750. For those opting for the annual plan, the cost is Rs 18,300.
If you’re looking for more affordable options, X also offers two other plans: Basic and Premium. The Basic plan is priced at Rs 245 per month in India, while the Premium plan costs Rs 650 monthly. For annual subscriptions, the Basic plan costs Rs 2,590, and the Premium plan is priced at Rs 6,800.

The Premium+ tier offers the most enhanced experience on the platform. It includes a fully ad-free browsing experience, the largest reply boost, and access to the Grok 2 AI Assistant. Subscribers can enjoy exclusive features like posting longer videos, access to X Pro and Media Studio, advanced analytics, and the ability to write articles and monetize posts through Creator Subscriptions.
