GrokAI is soon going to have a standalone app. Currently tucked inside the X app, Elon Musk’s xAI is now testing a standalone version, already live in beta for Australia. The beta app is available for iOS users. The best part? It’s no longer just for X users—everyone can join the AI fun, premium or not.
How is GrokAI different from other AI chatbots?
GrokAI, like ChatGPT and other AI chatbots like Bing and Gemini, taps into real-time data from X (formerly Twitter) and the web, offering a mix of generative AI features. Need to rewrite a dull text? Summarize a long article? Fire off a quick Q&A? GrokAI has your back. Feeling creative? You can even generate images from text prompts with its photorealistic rendering capabilities.
The coolest part? Grok isn’t shy about generating images of public figures. Want to see Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg riding a rickshaw together? Just ask, and Grok will deliver. Unlike ChatGPT and many other apps, which steer clear of public figure requests—especially in their free versions—Grok embraces the fun and gives you creative freedom.
The beta app page of GrokAI is now live. It reads, “Grok is an AI-powered assistant designed to be maximally truthful, useful, and curious. Get answers to any question, generate striking images, and upload pictures to gain a deeper understanding of your world.” Not just this, GrokAI will also get a dedicated site– GrokAI.com–very soon so that the users can also access it on the web, pretty similar to how we use other AI chatbots like ChatGPT, Gemini.
