What if you want a pair of TWS earbuds that handle work calls reliably, but are also good enough for music, movies, and even a bit of gaming — all while staying connected to multiple devices at once? On paper, that feels like an unrealistic expectation.
Most earbuds tend to excel at one thing and compromise on the rest. Some sound great but struggle on calls. Others offer solid voice clarity but fall short when it comes to entertainment. Balancing both worlds is actually harder than it seems.
That’s exactly the gap the Dell Pro Plus Earbuds EB525 aims to fill.
Rather than positioning them as lifestyle accessories or bass-heavy music companions, Dell treats these earbuds as everyday work tools built for people who spend long hours on calls, switch constantly between devices, and still want a dependable audio experience once work is done.
After spending time with the Rs 18,999 Pro Plus EB525, there are a few things that I noticed about these earbuds that sets them apart from the usual options available at this price point.
Design and comfort
The earbuds follow a clean, understated design that fits naturally into professional environments. Has the grey colour that’s perhaps the most boring colour on the colour wheel. But, they make them look extremely professional and serious. Also, the matte finish makes these earbuds look premium too.
When it comes to the fit and comfort, they sit lightly in the ear and come with multiple ear tip sizes, making it easy to find a secure fit without pressure.
What matters most is long-term wear. Even after hours of continuous use, there’s no discomfort, no fatigue, and no constant need to readjust. This becomes especially important during long workdays filled with back-to-back meetings. Or, listening to music in between.

The charging case is alright – little on the bigger side – but easy to carry, slipping into a pocket or laptop bag without bulk. Build quality feels dependable for everyday commuting, and the added dust and water resistance provides reassurance against sweat or light rain.
Sound quality and noise cancellation
Sound tuning is clearly designed around voice clarity. Calls, podcasts, and video content come through clean and natural, with strong mids that keep speech easy to follow. Music playback remains balanced, though bass stays controlled rather than punchy and I am not complaining as the clarity is top notch as well as users have the option to fine tune the audio via the companion apps – Dell Audio app on mobile or Dell Display and Peripheral Manager on PC.
Active noise cancellation works in a practical, adaptive way. Instead of aggressively muting everything, it reduces background hum, office chatter, and traffic noise while maintaining a natural listening feel. It adjusts automatically to surroundings as it has got the Adaptive Noise cancellation feature, which makes transitions between quiet rooms and busy spaces seamless.
Transparency mode is equally well handled, letting in outside sound clearly enough to hold conversations or stay aware of surroundings without removing the earbuds.
I also played a couple of titles with the Dell Pro Plus earbuds and for what it is worth. The included dongle connection keeps the latency to minimum and it reduces the lag and delay in the audio output – feels almost like a wired connection. In terms of audio quality and separation it is on point and I could hear the movement clearly and cinematics are well balanced too.
Call quality and microphones
This is where the EB525 truly stands out.
Dell’s multi-microphone setup combined with AI-based noise filtering delivers consistently clear voice pickup. In cafés, shared offices, and noisy home environments, background sounds are significantly reduced while speech remains natural. The whole AI-noise cancellation thing works really well and it is also certified for Zoom and other conferencing apps which adds some bonus points here.
Dell Pro Plus earbuds
Unlike many earbuds that compress voices heavily to suppress noise, the EB525 preserves vocal tone without robotic processing. For frequent meetings and calls on the move, the improvement is immediately noticeable.
For work-focused users, call performance alone becomes a strong reason to choose these earbuds. Not only that, the regular phone calls also sound pretty natural and clear all the time irrespective of the surroundings. And, that’s something not many TWS earbuds can do even at this price range.
Connectivity and features
It has Bluetooth 5.3 and a USB-C dongle for connectivity. And that’s what makes the Dell Pro Plus earbuds different from other options. While other brands rely on cloud-based connection to switch between devices, the Pro Plus relies on two different connections altogether which makes it more reliable and fail safe too. For me it works all the time without a single fail. And, you can pair up to 2 devices at the same time and up to 8 total devices.
Talking about the dongle, It offers lower latency and more reliable PC connectivity compared to standard Bluetooth, particularly useful for laptops with weaker wireless performance. Another point to note is that the dongle works across devices that means no need to wait for the earbuds to connect or the guess work.
Dell’s companion software allows control customisation, sound adjustments, battery monitoring, and firmware updates. Enterprise-focused management tools also make large-scale deployment easier, reinforcing the work-first approach behind these earbuds.
Battery life and charging
The Dell Pro Plus Earbuds EB525 are built to handle long workdays without constant charging breaks. Each earbud carries a 66mAh battery, while the charging case adds a much larger 500mAh capacity, extending overall usage across calls, meetings, and music sessions.
With Active Noise Cancellation switched on, users get up to 4 hours of talk time directly from the earbuds. When paired with the case, total call usage reaches around 15 hours. For audio playback, battery life improves further, offering up to eight hours on a single charge and as much as 33 hours when the case is used in between.

Fast charging adds convenience. Just five minutes of charging provides roughly one hour of use, which is helpful for quick top-ups before stepping out or joining meetings. A full charge takes under two hours, keeping downtime minimal.
Verdict
The Dell Pro Plus Earbuds EB525 are clearly built with everyday work use in mind, and that focus pays off in real-world scenarios. Call quality is their biggest strength, with voices coming through clean and natural even in noisy environments. Whether it’s meetings, regular phone calls, or switching between devices, reliability remains consistently strong.
The dual-connectivity setup using Bluetooth and the USB-C dongle makes multi-device use smoother than most TWS earbuds in this segment, especially on laptops. Sound quality for music, movies, and gaming stays balanced and clear, favouring long listening sessions over heavy bass impact. The low-latency dongle also adds real value.
Comfort holds up over hours of use, battery life easily covers full workdays, and fast charging is genuinely practical.
If entertainment is your only priority, other options may sound more exciting. But for professionals who need excellent calls with solid all-round performance, the EB525 is a dependable choice.
