Dell Technologies has expanded its consumer and gaming portfolio in India with the launch of its new Dell Plus AI PC range and Alienware Area-51 and Aurora gaming laptops. The announcements, made on July 18, 2025, underline Dell’s focus on delivering powerful performance, immersive experiences, and next-generation AI capabilities to Indian users.
New Dell Plus series with AMD Ryzen AI chips
The new Dell Plus laptops — including the Dell 14 Plus, 14 2-in-1 Plus, and 16 Plus — are powered by AMD’s latest Ryzen AI 300 Series CPUs. These models support up to the AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processor, bringing AI-accelerated performance to everyday productivity, content creation, and multitasking. Dell claims battery life of up to 20 hours on the 14 Plus, 19 hours on the 14 2-in-1 Plus, and 22 hours on the 16 Plus, making them ideal for long usage sessions.
All three laptops feature a 16:10 aspect ratio with FHD+ resolution, Dolby Vision support, and enhanced stereo audio powered by Realtek SounzReal and Dolby Atmos. The new range also includes AI-powered enhancements like noise cancellation, an FHD+ webcam, and fast Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. ExpressCharge support enables charging up to 80% in one hour.
The 14 2-in-1 Plus adds a 360-degree hinge for versatile use cases like tablet or tent mode. It also supports optional Dell Active Pen for sketching and note-taking. Sustainability remains a key focus with the use of recycled materials and EPEAT Gold certification with Climate+.
Alienware Area-51 and Aurora series return
Dell also announced the Alienware 16 and 18 Area-51 notebooks alongside the Alienware 16X Aurora. Designed for premium gaming performance, these machines come equipped with Intel Core Ultra HX processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs.
The Alienware Area-51 laptops feature advanced Cryo-Tech cooling systems with up to 37% improved airflow and up to 15% quieter operation. They offer vivid WQXGA displays with 100% DCI-P3 color accuracy, refresh rates up to 300Hz, and brightness levels of up to 500 nits. Key features include a Cherry Ultra Low-Profile keyboard, Dolby Atmos quad speakers, and up to 280W of total power delivery.
The Alienware 16X Aurora is positioned as a compact powerhouse offering up to 155W TPP. It features a 16-inch WQXGA display with 240Hz refresh rate and NVIDIA G-SYNC. Stealth Mode allows users to reduce fan noise and keyboard lighting when needed, while a redesigned thermal system ensures efficient cooling in mobile use.
Pricing and availability
The Dell 14 Plus is priced from Rs 76,940, the 14 2-in-1 Plus from Rs 87,670, and the 16 Plus starts at Rs 76,400. The Alienware 16X Aurora starts at Rs 176,990, while the 16 Area-51 and 18 Area-51 models start at Rs 309,990 and Rs 314,990 respectively.
