Nothing’s sub-brand, CMF by Nothing, is set to launch its next smartphone, the CMF Phone 2 Pro, on April 28 at 6:30 PM IST. Ahead of the launch, the company has confirmed that the phone will be powered by MediaTek’s new Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, marking a major performance upgrade over its predecessor.
Processor and performanceThe MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro is positioned as a significant step up from the processor used in the CMF Phone 1. The chipset promises a 10% improvement in CPU performance and up to 5% better graphics rendering. Built on an efficient process node, the Dimensity 7300 Pro is designed to handle everyday apps, multitasking, and gaming more effectively.
In terms of gaming, the CMF Phone 2 is being pitched as offering the “segment's best gaming experience,” with support for 120 FPS gameplay on Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). It also includes a 1000 Hz touch sampling rate, which should enhance touch response during gaming. Additionally, a claimed 53% network performance boost is expected to improve stability during online play.
Design and accessories
A teaser shared by CMF on X (formerly Twitter) shows part of the CMF Phone 2’s rear design. The phone features a matte-finish panel with a glossy overlay, visible screws, and a CMF logo that changes colour depending on the viewing angle. Reports suggest the phone may include an Accessory Point System that supports modular add-ons like stands and card holders.
