Method 1: Use UMANG app The Umang app, introduced by the government, provides access to various government services, including EPF-related features. Users can view their passbook, raise claims, and more. - Download the Umang app from the Play Store or App Store. - Register using your mobile number and complete the OTP verification. - Tap the three horizontal bars on the top left and go to the ‘Service Directory.’ - Search for ‘EPFO’ and select ‘View Passbook.’ - Log in using your credentials to see your PF account details.

Method 2: Using EPFO portal For those who prefer checking their PF balance via a web browser, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) portal allows access to the passbook online. - Open www.epfindia.gov.in on a computer or mobile browser. - Click on ‘For Employees’ under the ‘Our Services’ section. - Select ‘Member Passbook’ under the ‘Services’ category. - You will be redirected to another portal where you need to enter your - -- Universal Account Number (UAN), password, and the captcha code. - After logging in, you can check your PF passbook and transaction details. Note: Your UAN must be verified and activated by your employer before you can access this service.

Method 3: PF Balance via SMS Employees registered with the EPFO can get their PF balance and transaction details by sending an SMS from their registered mobile number. - Type ‘EPFOHO UAN ENG’ and send it to 7738299899. - Replace ‘ENG’ with the first three letters of your preferred language (e.g., HIN for Hindi, MAR for Marathi). - This service is available in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
Method 4: Using missed call Another quick method to check your PF balance is by making a missed call from your registered mobile number. - Dial 9966044425 from your registered mobile. - The call will disconnect automatically, and you will receive an SMS with your PF account details.
