ChatGPT gets screen sharing feature: What is it, how it works and other details

Open AI has announced two new features to its AI chatbot – ChatGPT. In a recent update, the company has added real-time video and screen sharing features within the Advanced Voice Mode in ChatGPT. The company announced these two features during the OpenAI’s 12 of Shimpas’ event.

With the feature, users can now share their screen with ChatGPT and ask for feedback and analysis on the content that’s present on their screen. The feature is available under the video icon at the bottom left corner placed next the the text box. Clicking on it starts the video recording and to share the screen, users need to tap on the three-dot menu and click on the new “Share Screen” option.

The feature is now rolling out on ChatGPT app on iOS, and Android for ChatGPT Teams, Plus and Pro users. The feature is also expected to arrive for ChatGPT Enterprise and Education subscribers next year in January. Do keep in mind that the feature – Advance Voice Mode won’t be available in certain regions

Open AI has also introduced a new ‘Santa Mode’ in ChatGPT as a voice preset within the Andorid, iOS, Windows and Mac versions of the app. The feature will also be available in the ChatGPT website. Also, the feature will be available to all users including free tier users until January 2025.
