Beats and Nike have teamed up for the first time on hardware, launching the Powerbeats Pro 2 Nike Special Edition—a collaboration that leans as much into performance as it does into branding.
And for once, Beats is sharing the spotlight. The earbuds feature Nike’s Swoosh on the right bud and the signature Beats “b” on the left—a small detail, but a notable shift for a brand that usually keeps its hardware identity to itself.
A design that leans into sport and style
The Nike edition stands out immediately. You get a matte black finish with Volt accents, paired with a speckled charging case that feels very Nike.
Open the lid, and the “JUST DO IT” slogan is printed inside—a bit on the nose, but also exactly what you’d expect from this pairing.
It’s clearly designed to sit at the intersection of gym gear and everyday accessory.
Underneath the new look, the hardware remains familiar—but that’s not a bad thing. The earbuds come with adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Transparency mode, giving users flexibility between focus and awareness. There’s also built-in heart rate monitoring, which syncs with fitness apps, including Nike Run Club.
Battery life is strong: up to 45 hours with the charging case. Add IPX4 sweat and water resistance and the signature earhooks, and this is clearly built for workouts first.
To promote the launch, Beats brought in LeBron James, who has long been associated with both brands. The campaign leans into a lighter tone, showing James navigating a not-so-perfect game of golf—while tuning out distractions using the earbuds. It’s less about peak performance, more about enjoying the process.
Pricing and availability
The Powerbeats Pro 2 Nike Special Edition is priced at Rs 29,900 in India and will go on sale starting March 20.
It will be available online in India, while select global markets will also see availability via Apple Stores and Nike’s own channels.
