Nintendo recently released its much-awaited latest handheld gaming console, the Switch 2. Several games are already lined up for the device, starting from its official release on June 5 and continuing through the year. However, according to a new report, after introducing the Star Wars Outlaws for the Nintendo Switch 2, Ubisoft is holding back, as we might see another current-generation port for the handheld in the form of Assassin’s Creed: Shadows.
Assassin’s Creed: Shadows for Nintendo Switch 2: Here’s what we know
According to a report by 9To5Toys, the Assassin’s Creed: Shadows was recently spotted on PEGI (Pan-European Game Information), the European rating regulator’s Nintendo Switch 2 listing, hinting at its imminent release for the newly launched handheld console. Earlier rumours mentioned that games like GTA VI, Call of Duty, Fallout 4, and other latest AAA titles might also make their way to Nintendo’s next-gen system. However, none of these titles have been officially confirmed for Switch 2 yet.
Thankfully, Ubisoft has been a big supporter of Nintendo platforms ever since the original Switch, and they have just announced Star Wars Outlaws for Switch 2, and it will be released on September 4 with all the DLCs. This certainly isn’t official confirmation, but it has led many to believe that the latest Assassin’s Creed title might also make its way to Switch 2 at some point.
There are doubts regarding whether Nintendo Switch 2 could run both games decently. However, Ubisoft’s impending release of its latest games for the handheld would be proof that it can punch above its weight class, and is powerful enough to play most graphically intensive gaming titles.
