Apple has announced the iPhone 17, bringing its latest generation of core iPhones to the spotlight at the Awe dropping event. The device keeps a familiar design but introduces a 120Hz display, improved cameras, and access to Apple Intelligence, Apple’s AI-powered suite that is gradually spreading across its ecosystem.
While it doesn’t match the titanium build of the Pro models, the iPhone 17 aims to strike the balance between performance, design, and value for a broader audience.

iPhone 17: Key featuresWhat’s new in the display?The iPhone 17 steps up its display game with a larger 6.3-inch screen that finally brings ProMotion high-refresh rate technology to the standard model. Apple has also added always-on display support, letting the lock screen stay visible in a subtle, dimmed state without draining too much battery.
Which processor powers it?It runs on the A19 chip, tuned for efficiency while still supporting Apple Intelligence features.
Are the cameras better than iPhone 16?The dual-lens rear camera system now has 48MP fusion camera and a telephoto camera. It also offers improved Night Mode and smarter AI-assisted photo editing. It also gets a centre stage front camera and it sensor its two times bigger than that of iPhone 16.
What about AI features?Apple is bringing its on-device AI features, including writing tools and smarter Siri, to the iPhone 17.
Battery life improvements?Apple says users can expect about 1 hour longer usage compared to the iPhone 16. In just 20 minutes, users can charge the iPhone 17 up to 50%.
The base storage variant has been upgraded. It will be available in 256GB, and 512GB variants.
What are the colour options?The iPhone 17 is available in five colours, black, white, blue, sage and purple.
