Apple to launch 4 iPhone 17 models on September 9: Which model sounds promising and most value for money?

Apple is ready to unveil the iPhone 17 series on September 9, and leaks suggest there will be four models: the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Nothing is official yet, so take this with a pinch of salt, but the rumors give a pretty good idea of what each phone might offer.

The standard iPhone 17 seems like the option for people who want a solid iPhone without splurging. It’s expected to look a lot like the iPhone 16, with two cameras on the back and a slightly larger 6.3-inch screen. It should be smooth to use, thanks to Apple’s A19 chip and 8GB of RAM, which should handle apps, videos, and games easily. Rumors say it will come in some new colors like green and purple, and it might start around $799. If you just want a reliable phone that works well and doesn’t break the bank, this could be it.

Then there’s the iPhone 17 Air, which is getting a lot of attention. It’s said to be really thin and light, possibly just 5.5mm thick, making it Apple’s thinnest iPhone yet. The screen is expected to be about 6.6 inches, giving you plenty of space to watch videos or scroll through social media. It might have a single 48-megapixel camera, a new Apple 5G chip, and a Wi-Fi 7 chip, which could make the internet faster and more reliable. Some leaks even suggest it won’t have a SIM tray at all, relying only on eSIM. Pricing is rumored to be $899 to $949, which positions it between the standard iPhone 17 and the Pro models. It seems like a phone for people who want something modern and stylish without going all out on the Pro versions.

The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are expected to focus on performance and cameras. Both may have a half-aluminum, half-glass back and a bigger rectangular camera bump. The Pro Max could have three 48-megapixel cameras and even 8K video recording, which is impressive if you like photography or creating content. Both models are expected to have 12GB of RAM and Apple’s A19 Pro chip, which should make them extremely fast. Rumored prices are around $1,099 for the Pro and $1,199 for the Pro Max, so these are the premium options if you want the best Apple has to offer.

All four models are expected to get smooth 120Hz displays, faster wireless charging, and MagSafe support. Some of the Pro features, like reverse charging and certain camera tricks, may remain exclusive to the higher-end phones.

So, which phone makes the most sense? The standard iPhone 17 is solid and affordable, the Air brings style and modern features without going too expensive, and the Pro and Pro Max are for people who want top performance and the best cameras.

Keep in mind, these are all leaks. Apple will confirm everything on September 9, and until then, it’s mostly about figuring out what matters most: practicality, style, or raw power.
