Apple just launched the new MacBook Air with the M4 chip, along with the latest iPad Air. If you’ve been looking for a lightweight, powerful laptop or a versatile tablet, now might be the perfect time to upgrade. But even as these fresh devices land in stores, Apple is already hard at work on its next big release—the iPad Pro with the M5 chip.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is testing the new iPad Pro, and if all goes well, it could launch around October. The last iPad Pro, released in May 2024, introduced a gorgeous new screen and a thinner design, making it one of the best iPads yet. This year’s version won’t be as dramatic—the main upgrade will be the M5 chip, which means faster performance and better efficiency. If you love having the latest and greatest, you might want to keep an eye out for this one.

Apple is also working on new MacBook Pro models with the M5 chip, though they won’t see many other changes. If you’re thinking about upgrading, it might be worth waiting for 2026 when Apple is expected to launch a completely redesigned version with a slimmer build and an even better display.

For now, though, the MacBook Air M4 and iPad Air are stealing the spotlight. The new MacBook Air remains the go-to laptop for students, professionals, and anyone who wants a fast and portable device. It’s even snappier now with the M4 chip. Meanwhile, the iPad Air continues to impress, offering many of the same features as the iPad Pro but at a more budget-friendly price.

Apple always has something exciting on the horizon, and whether you're eager to buy now or waiting for what’s next, one thing is for sure—there’s never a dull moment in the world of tech.
