Cupertino-based tech giant Apple has been reportedly working on a new generation of its next budget iPhone SE smartphone for quite some time now, and it is likely to debut as the company's first phone of 2025. The company last launched the iPhone SE 3 in 2022 and also plans to release the iPad 11 as well in 2025. Now, according to trusted Apple insider Mark Gurman, this affordable iPhone and the next iPad 11 models are expected to debut alongside iOS 18.3
Gurman took to X (formerly Twitter), dismissing a report that stated the iPhone SE 4 will be launched this month. He added that if everything stays on track and Apple can meet the decided timeline, the next iPhone SE and iPads might be released by April. Additionally, he also claimed that we can expect the affordable iPhone launch before iOS 18.4, which means that both devices could launch with iOS 18.3 preinstalled.
iPhone SE 4 and iPad 11: Expected specifications
The iPhone SE 4, which according to multiple leaks and rumours could be named as iPhone 16E, is expected to feature a 6.1-inch OLED Super Retina XDR 60Hz display, similar to the iPhone 14. Moreover, it could feature the latest A18 chip from the iPhone 16 series, including support for Apple Intelligence. Further, the phone is tipped to get a 48MP rear camera and a 12MP front camera.
If we talk about the upcoming iPad 11, it is likely to get a 10.9-inch display. It has also been said that the device should support Apple Intelligence, meaning it would have a newer A-series chip compared to the iPad 10 and will have at least 8GB of RAM. However, no major design changes are expected from its predecessor iPad 10, which was launched in 2022.
