How to enrol into iOS 26 developer beta program
To access the iOS 26 developer beta, users must join the Apple Developer Program.
Visit developer.apple.com and sign in using your Apple ID.
Click on “Start your enrollment,” then continue the process on the web.
After entering your personal information and selecting your entity type (typically “individual”), you’ll reach a payment screen. If you exit before paying, you should still be added to the free tier, which allows beta access.
Alternatively, users can download the Apple Developer app, go to the ‘Account’ tab, and sign in with their Apple ID to enroll in the free tier.
Steps to install the iOS 26 beta on your iPhone
Once enrolled, follow these steps on your iPhone:
1. Open Settings
2. Tap General > Software Update
3. Select Beta Updates
4. Choose iOS 26 Developer Beta
The update should then appear. Tap to download and follow the on-screen prompts. Ensure the device has sufficient battery and is connected to Wi-Fi. The installation may take time, and the iPhone will reboot during the process.
Things to keep in mind
As this is a developer beta, users can expect bugs, performance issues, and app compatibility problems. It’s strongly recommended to back up your iPhone before installation. Users not comfortable with potential instability should wait for the public beta or final release, expected in September with the iPhone 17 series.
