Apple is set to host its annual product launch event on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Branded as the “Awe Dropping” event, the showcase will see the debut of the iPhone 17 series, which is expected to include iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The iPhone 17 Air is tipped to replace the Plus model, making it one of the most significant changes in Apple’s smartphone lineup. Alongside the new iPhones, Apple may also introduce the Apple Watch Ultra 3, Apple Watch Series 11, Watch SE 3, and the long-awaited AirPods Pro 3.

The Apple Event 2025 will take place on September 9 at the company’s headquarters in Cupertino, California. The keynote begins at 10 AM PT, which is 10:30 PM IST for viewers in India. The event will be livestreamed globally and can be watched through Apple’s official website (Apple.com), the Apple TV app, and Apple’s official YouTube channel. A replay of the keynote is usually available shortly after the live broadcast ends.
What to expect
The highlight of the evening will be the new iPhone 17 lineup. The standard iPhone 17 is expected to feature a 6.3-inch 120Hz display, a 24MP front camera, and new colour options such as purple and green. The iPhone 17 Pro may bring a horizontal camera bar design, a lighter aluminium body, and a base storage option starting at 256GB. The iPhone 17 Pro Max is rumoured to be slightly thicker to fit a larger battery for extended usage.
The all-new iPhone 17 Air is said to be Apple’s slimmest iPhone yet, with a thickness of just 5.5mm. It may include a 6.6-inch display and a single rear camera. Apple is also expected to launch new “TechWoven” cases with detachable straps, replacing the FineWoven line.
Beyond iPhones, Apple may unveil the Apple Watch Ultra 3 with faster charging, 5G connectivity, satellite support, and a larger display. The Apple Watch Series 11 could bring incremental upgrades, while the Watch SE 3 may get a larger screen while maintaining its affordable positioning.
In the audio category, the AirPods Pro 3 are expected to arrive with a slimmer case, smaller earbuds, touch-sensitive controls, and the new H3 chip to improve noise cancellation and adaptive audio features.
