Rumours have been rife about Apple launching a couple of new products, including the iPhone SE. Now, Apple CEO Tim Cook has confirmed that a new product will be launched soon. In a post on social media platform X, Cook said, “Get ready to meet the newest member of the family. Wednesday, February 19. #AppleLaunch". Cook’s post was accompanied with a swirling Apple logo.
What to expect
As per the rumour mill, the product could very well be the iPhone SE 4. According to Bloomberg, Apple was earlier expected to launch the iPhone SE 4 this week. However, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman tweeted that the launch had been postponed by a week, which means that February 19 could be the day when the new iPhone SE actually arrives. In his post on social media, Gurman also said that the MacBook Air could arrive in the next few weeks.
The new iPhone SE is the most likely new product as it has been three years since Apple updated its most affordable iPhone. Rumours suggest that the iPhone SE could get a major makeover and resemble the iPhone 14. This means that Apple could finally bid adieu to the Home button since leaks suggest the iPhone SE could feature a notch. The rumored iPhone is also expected to be powered by the A18 processor, which could make it the most affordable iPhone to run Apple’s AI features.
