Apple has officially unveiled the AirPods 4 in India. The AirPods 4 are suitable for longer hours of usage, as Apple claims they come with the “most comfortable design yet," thanks to their lighter weight. They have a similar design to the AirPods 3 come with short stems and still don’t come with silicone ear tips, leaving fit up to individual ear shapes.
The AirPods 4 offer more protection against external sources, as the AirPods 3 are rated for IPX4 while the AirPods 4 offer IP54 dust and water resistance. This means that the AirPods 3 doesn’t offer any kind of dust protection, and is only certified against normal rain or sweat. The AirPods 4 also now comes with a smaller charging case compared to its predecessor.

The standout upgrade we get with the AirPods 4 is the inclusion of ANC in its flagship variant, which was previously only present in the AirPods Pro models. It also has a new H2 chip, which with the help of Adaptive Audio, reduces background noise based on your surroundings or adjusts call volume based on your environment.
However, these two AirPods also share some similarities, as both support Spatial Audio and have Audio Sharing or Auto Pause functionalities. The AirPods 4 now supports Siri interactions and also has dedicated Transparency and Adaptive Audio modes.

With ANC support on the AirPods 4, Apple claims that the AirPods 4 can last four hours of music playback and 4.5 hours of calling. If we talk about the total time with the charging case, it can last for up to 20 hours of listening to music and calling. In contrast, with ANC turned off, both TWS earphones offer over 30 hours of battery life.
Both the earbuds also support USB Type C charging and can be wirelessly charged with Qi-certified wireless charging pads.

The AirPods 4 are available in two variants, with the standard model for Rs 12,900 and the one with Active Noise Cancellation costing Rs 17,900. On the other hand, the AirPods 3 is available for Rs 17,999.
