Announced at the Adobe Max 2024 event, Adobe has started rolling out Firefly’s new generative AI-powered video capabilities to select users in beta. The rollout also marks the debut of Adobe’s first video AI tool that’s designed for safe commercial use.
FeaturesAdobe has already integrated Firefly into multiple tools and the new video model allows users to generate videos from text and image prompts. Other than this the new video model also allows users to define camera controls like motion and zoom.
Adobe has also integrated the Firefly video model into Premiere Pro beta. There’s a new "Generative Extend" feature that allows clip extension and smoother transitions. The model is also available in the Firefly web app, offering new Text-to-video and Image-to-video capabilities.
Adobe Firefly updateAlongside the video model, Adobe announced enhancements across its existing Firefly models. Firefly Image 3 now generates images four times faster than earlier versions. The latest Firefly Vector Model in Illustrator introduces advanced pattern control, while the Generative Workspace beta in Photoshop aims to streamline ideation and visual creation.
Adobe also previewed new enterprise solutions within Firefly Services, including Dubbing and Lip Sync for multi-language video content, and "Bulk Create" for handling large volumes of images.
Price and availabilityThe Firefly Video Model is accessible in a limited public beta via firefly.adobe.com, where users can join the waitlist. During the beta phase, usage is free, with pricing details to be announced when the model becomes widely available.
