At Adobe MAX 2025, Adobe and Google Cloud announced an expanded strategic partnership that will bring Google’s most advanced AI models directly into Adobe’s creative apps, including Firefly, Photoshop and Premiere. The collaboration aims to redefine how professionals and enterprises create, customise and scale AI-generated content.

Adobe and Google Cloud are deepening their collaboration to integrate Google’s leading AI models—Gemini, Veo and Imagen—across Adobe’s creative ecosystem. The partnership promises to merge Adobe’s creative heritage with Google’s AI power to help users generate higher-quality visuals, richer videos and more efficient workflows.

Adobe customers will soon be able to access Google’s AI models natively within apps like Firefly, Express, Photoshop, and Premiere, as well as through Adobe GenStudio. Enterprise users will also gain the ability to customise models via Firefly Foundry, allowing them to build brand-specific AI systems that produce on-brand content at scale.

This marks a key extension of Adobe’s “partner model” strategy, giving users freedom to choose from top-tier AI models while maintaining trust and control within Adobe’s ecosystem. Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform will enable enterprises to train and deploy customised AI while keeping their proprietary data secure and separate from foundation model training.

The two companies are also launching a joint go-to-market plan to showcase their combined innovations worldwide. According to Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen, the partnership “brings together Adobe’s creative DNA and Google’s AI models to empower creators and brands to push the boundaries of what’s possible.”

Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian echoed the sentiment, saying the collaboration gives creators and global brands the tools to “dramatically speed up content creation and realise creative concepts previously impossible.”

The announcement also builds on Adobe’s new partnership with YouTube, which will soon bring a Shorts creation space to the Premiere mobile app.
