Popular Taiwanese computer brand Acer is preparing for its much-anticipated return to the Indian smartphone market. The brand was initially scheduled to launch its new smartphones on March 25, but that did not happen. However, Acer has now set up a landing page on its official website and Amazon, confirming the arrival of its smartphones soon.
Although the names of these devices haven’t been officially disclosed, multiple previous rumours indicate that these could be the Acerone Liquid S162E4 and Acerone Liquid S272E4 smartphones. These devices are expected to feature AI-powered capabilities and powerful specifications, which are aimed at budget and midrange smartphone users.
Acer India smartphones launch: Key details
Amazon India has recently created a special microsite that provides a glimpse of the upcoming Acer smartphones. The promotional page confirms that these devices will potentially have a large camera module along with the tagline ‘The next horizon.’ Further, the brand has also teased that these devices will have multiple AI-based features to enhance user experience.
As for their specifications, the purported Acer smartphones are expected to run on Android 14 out of the box and come with 4GB of RAM alongside 64GB of onboard storage. Further, they are likely to come with a 5,000mAh battery. The Acerone Liquid S162E4 is tipped to offer a 16MP primary rear sensor alongside a 0.08MP secondary sensor. On the other hand, the Liquid S272E4 comes with a 20MP main sensor and a 0.3MP secondary sensor. Both smartphones are expected to offer 5MP selfie cameras.
