James Bond is a new MI6 recruit in 007 First Light

Hitman franchise developer IO Interactive recently announced the release date for its upcoming James Bond game. Titled “007 First Light”, the third-person action-adventure game is scheduled to launch on March 26, 2026. The developers are encouraging fans of James Bond and action-adventure games to pre-order the title, which comes with the benefits of in-game items and early access. 007 First Light: All preorder benefits

Those who pre-order 007 First Light will get the Deluxe Edition content for free and also a 24-hour early access to the Bond game. The Deluxe Edition content includes four James Bond outfits, namely Day of the Dead, Desert Explorer, Silent Anchor and Gentleman Operator; the Agent’s Mark weapon skin, and the Gleaming Pack of four Bond gadget skins.

The four James Bond gadget skins include the Gleaming Lighter, Gleaming Earphones, Gleaming Dart Gun and Gleaming Pen skins.

007 First Light: Sign-up benefits

Those who sign up for an IO Interactive account will unlock two free game items for 007 First Light: the “On Duty” outfit skin and “Gilded Wraith” weapon skin. Plus, new subscribers will also receive exclusive news and offers from the developer.

007 First Light features a resourceful but reckless Bond

007 First Light centres on a young James Bond who’s newly recruited into MI6. According to the game’s lore, Bond’s approach towards his mission in Iceland is seen as “utterly reckless” and “ill-disciplined” by his superiors at the British secret intelligence agency. Nevertheless, Bond’s boss at MI6 thinks that he’s “a bullet without a target” and decides to give him one with a new mission.
