After​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ a heart attack on Sunday, the family of Mandhana must be feeling relieved as Smriti Mandhana’s father, Srinivas has been discharged from the hospital. Due to this unforeseen medical emergency, Smriti and her fiancee, Palash Muchhal had to delay their wedding, which was supposed to take place the same day. Even though Srinivas is in a stable condition and out of danger, the family hasn’t revealed the date of the next ceremony yet.

According to the staff of India TV, the hospital staff who attended to Srinivas, and performed the angiography, were very pleased to find that he was free of blockages. After a few nerve-wracking days, the good news has really lifted the family's spirits.

In a statement, the parents of both sides reiterated the indefinite postponement of their wedding since the incident. Neither the families involved nor their friends have disclosed any new plans or timelines for celebrating the remaining occasions.

After Srinivas was taken to the hospital, Smriti’s manager, Tuhin Mishra, gave an account of the events: “This morning while having breakfast, Smriti’s father suddenly felt very unwell. We waited for a while, hoping that he would get better on his own, but when his condition deteriorated, we called for an ambulance and took him to the hospital. He is currently in the process of investigation. The relationship between Smriti and her father is very strong; hence, she has said that the wedding will only take place after her father's recovery. The doctors have suggested that he needs to be hospitalized for a few more days.”

Among other things, Smriti’s fans are very much puzzled by her action of deleting all the photos and videos of her pre-wedding events from Instagram. A few members of her team, like Jemimah Rodrigues, also seem to have removed the posts regarding the celebrations. Silence without an official announcement of the wedding reschedule has caused confusion and lots of speculation among the online community.

While the concerns were mounting, it was reported that Smriti’s fiancee, Palash Muchhal might also be hospitalized in Mumbai. On Tuesday, insiders revealed that he was taken to SVR Hospital in Goregaon due to severe stress caused probably by constant traveling for concerts and wedding preparations. There is not much information available about Palash’s condition at the ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌moment.
