The incident took place on the penultimate ball of the 13th over, bowled by Vijaykumar Vyashak. Rahul Tewatia was at the crease, while Shahrukh Khan attempted a quick single but was sent back by his batting partner. Kohli's precise throw at the bowler's end caught Shahrukh short of the crease, resulting in his dismissal.
