IND vs AUS: Pace sensation Jasprit Bumrah produced another marvelous bowling performance in the 3rd Third against Australia in Brisbane. The fast-bowler took six wickets in the first innings giving away 76 runs and three wickets in the second to finish the game with figures of 9/94. Bumrah has now become the most successful bowler on Austalian soil as he surpassed Kapil Dev's tally.

Bumrah now has 53 wickets in 20 Test innings in Australia. The great Kapil Dev has 51 wickets. He accomplished this milestone by dismissing Marnus Labuschagne on the first ball of the seventh over. The delivery was pitched on a good length outside the off-stump, prompting Labuschagne to edge it directly to the wicketkeeper.

Most Test wickets for India in Australia

49 wickets - Anil Kumble

40 wickets - R Ashwin

35 wickets - Bishan Bedi

Among Indian bowlers who have bowled in at least ten innings in Australia, Bumrah boasts the best average and strike rate (41). He has been the backbone of India's bowling attack throughout this tour and is likely to make an even greater impact, with two matches still remaining.

The Gabba Test spoiled by rain gods

Rain played spoilsport throughout the Gabba Test and the match finished as a draw in the end. Team India escaped with a crucial draw after majority of the play on Day 5 was interrupted by rain.

Resuming play on Day 5 at 252/9, India batted for four more overs and were bowled out for 260 in their first innings. Australia batters came out all guns blazing with limited time left in the day's play but were humbled by Indian bowlers as they declared for 89/7 in 18 overs. India were given a target of 275 to chase.

Bad light and rain forced an early tea break soon after with India at 8 for no loss in 2.1 overs. The rain got heavier as the time passed and no play was possible thereafter. The absorbing series is nicely poised going into the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne.
