Team India pacer Jasprit Bumrah has dismissed reports suggesting he has been advised bed rest ahead of the Champions Trophy. Earlier on Wednesday, the Times of India reported that Bumrah had been instructed to rest at home, casting doubts over his availability for the tournament set to begin on February 19. The report also mentioned that he would need to report to the BCCI's Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru, although the date for his check-in was unspecified.
Bumrah has now addressed the claims, calling them baseless.

During the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Bumrah suffered an injury scare in the last Sydney Test. He did bowl a single delivery in the second innings of Australia as India lost the game and conceded the series 1-3.
He finished the series as the top wicket-taker with 32 scalps to his name and also won the Player of the Series award. India's only win in the series came under his captaincy as regular captain Rohit Sharma decided to skip the series opener at Perth due to personal reasons.
