
The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, presented the Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar‑2025 on 23 December 2025. The event took place at Gantantra Mandap, Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.
In its second edition, the awards recognised 24 distinguished scientists and research teams for outstanding contributions across multiple fields. The ceremony celebrated India’s finest achievements in science, technology and innovation.
Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar: The Purpose
The Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar honours scientists and innovators for their notable and inspiring work. It recognises individuals and teams making a lasting impact on research and development.
The awards aim to motivate young researchers, foster innovation and strengthen India’s global scientific standing. From physics to agriculture and technology, the prize highlights the breadth and depth of Indian science.
