There are times in nature that freeze you in place. For visitors to Uttarakhand's Ramnagar, seeing a tiger called 'Hercules' did exactly that. With his huge build and regal gait, the big cat has left tourists and wildlife experts stunned.
Seen in Phato Tourism Zone
Hercules, who is a very large tiger, has been sighted frequently in Ramnagar's Phato zone. Tourists and animal lovers are now thronging to view him. The officials think that the tiger can be the largest ever in the whole of Asia.
Initial estimates indicate that the big cat weighs 300 kilograms. His body is almost seven feet in length. These statistics have generated considerable interest and excitement in the area.
Forest Officials Confirm the Sightings
Divisional Forest Officer Prakash Arya confirmed the tiger’s regular sightings. “In my career, I’ve never seen such size,” said Arya. He called it a sign of rich forest health and good management.
Arya added that a tiger of this size is rare. Surveillance has been increased in the zone with camera traps. Officials hope to gather more details about the tiger’s behaviour and movement.
Local Guides and Tourists Equally Stunned
Even long-time guides are amazed at the tiger's physique. "We have seen many, but none like Hercules," one guide claimed. He explained the tiger put people in mind of the legendary hero.
Tourists who are fortunate enough to catch sight of the feline are overjoyed. Priya Sharma from Delhi explained the experience left her speechless. "He is huge, relaxed, and powerful," she described. "It was like something from the movies.
Hercules has not only raised eyebrows but also hearts. His presence is now placing Uttarakhand in the wildlife limelight.
