• Pind Daan Ritual: The main ritual involves offering Pinds to the departed souls. These are placed at specific spots in Gaya, including the Vishnu Pad Temple and Pretshila Hill.
• Brahma Kund Snan: Pilgrims take a holy dip in the Brahma Kund, a large pond in Gaya. Bathing here is considered purifying and is usually done before performing the Pind Daan ceremony.
• Akshayavat Tree Worship: The Akshayavat tree, a sacred fig tree, is worshipped as part of the rituals. It is believed that Lord Rama performed Pind Daan under this tree.
• Offering Tarpan in Phalgu River: Pilgrims offer Tarpan, or libations, in the River Phalgu. This ritual is believed to bless the departed souls and aid in their spiritual journey.
