Krishna Yogeshwara Dwadashi 2025: When to Observe Yogeshwara Dwadashi Vrat - November 16 or 17?

Krishna Yogeshwara Dwadashi 2025: Krishna Yogeshwara Dwadashi 2025 will be observed on Sunday, November 16. This sacred vrat is dedicated to Lord Krishna in His divine form of Yogeshwara, the supreme Master of Yoga and wisdom. Observed during the Krishna Paksha Dwadashi Tithi of the Margashirsha month, this day holds great spiritual importance for devotees of Lord Vishnu and Krishna.

According to the Hindu Panchang, the Krishna Dwadashi Parana time (the time to break the fast) falls on Monday, November 17, 2025, between 6:45 AM and 8:54 AM. Devotees observing the vrat should fast on November 16 and perform Parana during the given muhurat the following morning.

Krishna Yogeshwara Dwadashi: Significance

The title Yogeshwara means “Lord of Yoga.” It refers to Shri Krishna as the divine teacher who unites knowledge, devotion, and discipline. Observing Yogeshwara Dwadashi Vrat is said to cleanse the mind and soul while bringing peace, wisdom, and divine grace.

Ancient Hindu scriptures describe this vrat as a way to attain spiritual growth and liberation from sins. Devotees who worship Lord Vishnu or Krishna on this day with a sincere heart are believed to receive his blessings for a harmonious and fulfilling life.

Rituals and Puja Vidhi

On Krishna Yogeshwara Dwadashi, devotees wake up early before sunrise, take a holy bath, and prepare for Lord Vishnu Puja. A clean altar is decorated with flowers and tulsi leaves. Offerings of fruits, milk, and sweets are made while chanting Krishna mantras or verses from the Bhagavad Gita and Vishnu Sahasranama.

Most devotees observe a fast throughout the day. Some keep a complete fast, while others take fruits and milk. The fast is broken the next morning after sunrise, during the Parana time, as per the Panchang.

Benefits of Observing Yogeshwara Fast

Keeping the Yogeshwara Dwadashi fast is believed to remove obstacles, promote peace of mind, and bring good health and prosperity. Spiritually, it deepens one’s devotion to Lord Krishna and strengthens faith in dharma and truth.

It is said that those who perform this vrat with faith and devotion are guided by Krishna Himself, finding balance and clarity in their spiritual journey.
