Baglamukhi Jayanti, also known as Goddess Baglamukhi’s birth anniversary. According to the vedic calendar, Bagalamukhi Jayanti is celebrated every year on Ashtami Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the Hindu month of Vaisakh. This year Baglamukhi Jayanti will be celebrated on Wesnesday May 15, 2024.

The headgear used for controlling a horse is called a bridle. Therefore, Bagalamukhi refers to the Goddess who possesses the power to dominate and immobilize her enemies. Owing to her abilities to capture and paralyze, she is also revered as the Devi of Stambhana.
According to legend, a colossal storm once threatened to annihilate all creation, prompting the Gods to gather in the Saurashtra region and offer prayers to the Goddess. In response to their devout pleas, Goddess Bagalamukhi emerged from the Haridra Sarovara and quelled the tempest.
Bagalamukhi Sadhana is done to defeat and paralyze the enemy. She is also worshipped to win the court cases and to get success in all sorts of competitions.
RITUALS
On this auspicious day, devotees honor Goddess Baglamukhi and seek her protection and guidance. Here are the rituals associated with Baglamukhi Jayanti:
Personal Purification: Devotees start their day with a holy bath early in the morning to purify themselves.
Dressing in Yellow: Devotees wear yellow-colored clothes, which is the preferred color associated with Goddess Baglamukhi.
Setting Up the Altar: Position the idol or statue of Goddess Baglamukhi upon the altar and then ignite incense sticks and a diya (oil lamp) to commence the rituals.
Offerings to the Deity: Devotees prepare sacred food (Prasad) and offer it to the deity along with flowers, coconut, and garlands.Chant sacred mantras dedicated to Goddess Baglamukhi.
Aarti and Chanting: Perform aarti (ceremonial worship with lamps) for Goddess Baglamukhi and recite Baglamukhi Chalisa and read stories related to her.
Donations and Charities: Devotees perform acts of charity and donate to seek blessings and protection.
