While Democrats have their doubt over Patel’s qualifications, Patel has been known for criticising the federal law enforcement agency. The Trump aide posted a meme from Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer Bajirao Mastani to announce Patel’s appointment as FBI boss. The post has garnered 4.2 million views so far. A staffer on the Republican-led House Intelligence Committee, Kash Patel had reportedly aided in writing a memo, which had critical points criticising FBI's probe into Trump's 2016 campaign ties with Russia.
