Former President Donald Trump's supporter and billionaire Elon Musk felt Vice President Kamala Harris performed better than expected in the first debate between the two US presidential candidates even though the hosts were not fair.
"While I don’t think the debate hosts were fair to @realDonaldTrump, @KamalaHarris
exceeded most people’s expectations tonight," Musk said in a post on X soon after the debate was over on September 11.

However, the Tesla CEO said that when it comes to doing the actual job, "Trump is far better."
"That said, when it comes to getting things done, not just saying nice-sounding words, I strongly believe that Trump will do a far better job. After all, if Kamala can do great things, why hasn’t she? Biden rarely shows up for work, so she’s basically in charge already. The question comes down to this: do you want current trends to continue for 4 more years or do you want change?"
Moreover, Musk made a bizarre remark against Taylor Swift after the billionaire singer-songwriter endorsed Harris officially.
Swift's post included an image of the singer with a cat and her statement was signed off as "childless cat lady" in an apparent dig at remarks previously made by Trump's running mate JD Vance.
Soon after Swift's announcement of support, Musk, in a post on X, said, "Fine Taylor … you win … I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life."

Meanwhile, Wall Street remained on edge as a closely watched debate between Trump and Harris late Tuesday gave investors little clarity on key policy issues, even as betting markets swung in Harris’ favor after the event.
In a combative debate, Trump and Harris clashed over everything from the economy to immigration and Trump’s legal woes, as each sought a campaign-altering moment in what has been a closely-fought race.
Their exchanges left investors with few new details on issues that could sway markets, including tariffs, taxes and regulation. Some observers, however, said Harris performed better than expected and that it may continue to sway prices for some assets in coming days should investors decide it improved her chances at gaining the White House.
