Responding to the alleged second assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump, tech billionaire Elon Musk took to microblogging site X on Monday, remarking, "And no one is even trying to assassinate Biden/Kamala".

The Tesla CEO's latest statement follows the second reported assassination attempt on Trump, which occurred on Sunday in Florida. Gunshots were fired outside Trump's golf course, leading to the arrest of a 58-year-old suspect.

The FBI has confirmed the incident, stating that Trump is safe and unharmed. According to the Secret Service, their agents fired at a gunman who was near the perimeter of Trump's golf course. At the scene, authorities recovered an 'AK-47-style rifle' equipped with a scope and a GoPro camera. The Secret Service had been in the process of clearing the golf course before Trump’s visit when they identified the suspect carrying a firearm.

Following the incident, Trump promptly emailed his supporters to assure them of his safety. In his message, Trump declared, "Nothing will slow me down. I will NEVER SURRENDER!" He further stressed on his determination, stating, "MY RESOLVE IS STRONGER AFTER ANOTHER ATTEMPT ON MY LIFE!"
