In May, US First Lady Melania Trump was away from public eye for almost three weeks. Speculation and conspiracy theories were afloat, but Trump put a rest to all of this when he tweeted that she was back and doing well. “Great to have our incredible First Lady back home in the White House. Melanie is feeling and doing really well”. We’re not sure what Melania thought of it. (Image: Reuters)

On September 25, Trump delivered a speech at the United Nations — yes, the one where world leaders laughed ‘at’ (and not ‘with’) him. It was filled with gaffes, and this one we thought stood out: “...tolerance for human struggling… and human smuggling and trafficking is not humane…” Smuggling is a struggle, ask Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo. On September 27, at a press conference, Trump said, “From what I hear, if you look at Mr Pillsbury, the leading authority on China ... he was saying that China has total respect for Donald Trump and for Donald Trump's very, very large brain. He said, Donald Trump, they don't know what to do…” Let’s add that to his “too big” hands! (Image: Reuters)

The Trump White House celebrated Diwali six days after it was celebrated across the world. But that was not the only mistake; he lit the diya (lamp) with a candle and in his tweet forgot to mention that Hindus celebrate the festival. He tweeted: “Today, we gathered for Diwali, a holiday observed by Buddhists, Sikhs and Jains throughout the United States and around the world….” (Image: Reuters)

On December 3, while on one of his many Twitter tirades — this one against former attorney Michael Cohen — Trump tweeted, ‘“Michael Cohen asks judge for no Prison Time.” You mean he can do all of the TERRIBLE, unrelated to Trump, things having to do with fraud, big loans, Taxis, etc., and not serve a long prison term? He makes up stories to get a GREAT and ALREADY reduced deal for himself, and get.... his wife and father-in-law (who has the money?) off Scott Free.” #ScottFree got a life of its own on the microblogging site.
