Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly was involved in an accident while traveling to Burdwan for an event. The incident occurred in a rural area of Hooghly, where two vehicles in his convoy sustained minor damage. Ganguly, however, was unharmed and continued with his planned schedule without disruption. Later, Ganguly’s car was also involved in a severe accident on the Durgapur Expressway near Dantanpur while en route to Bardhaman. Heavy rains were reported in the area at the time. As Ganguly's Range Rover moved at a controlled speed, a lorry coming from the opposite direction collided with the vehicle, causing it to lose control. Fortunately, the driver regained control and applied the brakes, avoiding a major disaster. However, the sudden halt led to several rear-end collisions. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured. Ganguly ensured everything was under control before proceeding to the event. He was safe and unharmed throughout.
