Google, Sony, and Bumble among 182 companies that laid off over 15,000 employees; here’s why

Tech Layoffs: Sony, Cisco, Twitter, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Grammarly, and Bumble are among 182 companies that laid off 15,372 employees in February 2024. The year started with Frontdesk firing over 200 employees over a two-minute video call. Tech companies have now started restructuring their workforce to adapt to AI. Sony is laying off 900 employees from its PlayStation unit, which will affect 8% of its workforce. Bumble, a dating app, is laying off 350 employees which accounts for 30% of its workforce.
