As on 13th October 2016, Castor has been sown in an area of 8.40 lakh hectares that is up by more than 24% than the 11.08 lakh hectares sown at the same time last year. At the same time in 2014, Castor had been sown in an area of 10.36 lakh hectares. Normal in season area is around 12.51 lakh hectares in the country.By: Skymetweather.com
